Presentation Information & Guidelines
Presentations are to be geared to a GENERAL audience. This is intended to be an accessible seminar series and a challenge to break down complex topics into a digestible format.
- Presentations are to be 10 minutes in length, followed by up to 3 minutes of questions.
- Physics presentations should use the minimum amount of mathematics possible and be accessible to non-specialists.
- Philosophy presentations should likewise be accessible, avoiding excessive technical jargon.
Eligibility
- Abstracts must be submitted by graduate students (Master’s or PhD). Please indicate your program and year of study in the submission and form.
- Only current UofC graduate students are eligible to present.
IMPORTANT ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DETAILS
Only abstracts written for a general audience will be considered. Presentations should serve as a high-level overview of your thesis work, with emphasis on clarity and accessibility.
- Abstracts should be no longer than ONE page.
- Please indicate whether your talk is intended for the Physics or Philosophy session
in your submission and the form. - Accepted file format: PDF.
- File name should be: LASTNAME FIRSTNAME MMS2025.pdf.
- Only one submission per individual will be accepted.
Abstracts not meeting the above criteria will not be considered
